Luqman is the founding member and Managing Director of LiraFlash Mining Pty Ltd. He holds a BTech (Mining) Engineering degree and Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Metal). Luqman also holds a certificate in Management Development with the University of Cape Town. As a graduate of the University of Johannesburg, Luqman began his mining career as a bursar student with Kumba Iron Ore.

Before establishing his own contract mining company, he had held various management positions in the mining industry as a Mining Foreman and Mine Overseer with Kumba Iron Ore, Superintendent Drill & Blast and Manager Load & Haul with Tharisa Minerals, Manager Mining at ARM, Manager Mining at Aswan Mining & Exploration in the Republic of Gabon (West Africa), Superintendent Technical Services – Acting General Manager – General Manager with Mineral Sands.

Over the past 15 Years, Luqman have mined and acquired vast knowledge in mining six different commodities: Gold – Platinum – Chrome – Iron Ore – Manganese – Heavy Mineral Sands.

In July 2016, He founded LiraFlash  Mining Consulting. He is a member of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and a Candidate Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
